An Evening With Ian Rush in aid of Claire House
Footballing luminary, Ian Rush was guest of honour at Kingsmead School, Hoylake last night for an exclusive ‘Evening With…’ event hosted by local solicitors Beech Jones De Lloyd.
The ex LFC striker and Welsh international was invited to Kingsmead where guests were treated to a Q&A session with the sporting star. The exclusive invite-only evening was in aid of Ian’s nominated charity Claire House with all money raised in a collection going to the Children’s Hospice.
The evening was a huge success enjoyed by all. Guests were treated to a ‘Real Ale and Champagne’ reception as well as mini stadium food canapés of pies and hot dogs - all served by ‘referee’ waiters! Guests were then given the unique opportunity to hear personal anecdotes directly from the sports personality in a relaxed and intimate setting.
Speaking after the event, Ian Rush commented, ‘I was delighted to be invited as guest speaker for Beech Jones de Lloyd’s ‘Evening with…’ at Kingsmead School. I am already a great supporter of the school as both my children have been pupils there for over sixteen years. It was a great evening and I am very grateful to Beech Jones de Lloyd for hosting the event and I hope everybody enjoyed themselves.
Interviewer and host, Paul Dumbleton, Senior Partner of Beech Jones De Lloyd commented “We were delighted that Ian accepted our invitation to Kingsmead - everybody at the school was really excited. Ian is a remarkable inspiration and sportsman and his many career highlights and anecdotes guaranteed a thoroughly enjoyable ‘Evening With…’ for the guests. It really was a special event and a rare opportunity to meet and listen to one of football’s most popular and incredible achievers.’
