Eubank Wirral Visit – An Upper-Cut Above the Rest
Sporting legend Chris Eubank will be guest of honour at a poetry recital this week at Kingsmead School, Hoylake. Following the recital, local solicitors Beech Jones De Lloyd will host an exclusive ‘Evening with Chris Eubank’ where guests will be treated to a Q&A session with the boxer- one of Britain’s greatest sporting celebrities.
The World Champion boxer, who is renowned for his measured diction and love of poetry, was invited to host the recital by the Wirral based firm, Beech Jones De Lloyd, who represent Chris Eubank and are also great supporters of Kingsmead School. The recital will focus on ‘Courage’ and takes inspiration from local and revered poet, Wilfred Owen who lived in Oxton, Wirral.
Eubank commented, “I am really looking forward to hosting the poetry recital at Kingsmead. Poetry is a great way for people, young and old to express themselves and expression is extremely important for young people. Poetry can empower them and give them a voice - it’s a peaceful and powerful way of articulating opinions and points of view.”
“The choice of topic, ‘Courage’ is very inspiring. Whether it be a boxer getting into the ring, a young person standing up for what they believe or a soldier going to war, courage is a great trait that takes many forms.”
This will certainly prove to be an inspirational and memorable occasion for the pupils taking part in the recital. Similarly, the ‘Evening with Chris Eubank’ will be a very unique, exclusive event and an opportunity for guests to talk directly to the sports hero in a relaxed and intimate setting.
Hosting the event, Paul Dumbleton, Senior Partner of Beech Jones De Lloyd commented “We are delighted that our client Mr Eubank accepted our invitation to the Kingsmead poetry recital and everybody at the school is really excited. Chris is being very generous with his time – doing the recital with the pupils in the afternoon and then agreeing to hold an ‘Evening with’ afterwards for local businesses and the pupils’ parents. The evening event really is something special for the guests and is a rare opportunity for them to meet and listen to the great British sporting hero. We hope it will be a highly enjoyable evening for all in attendance.
